You are missing the point. Its not about being able to launch the game from steam. Its about legally owning it on the platform of your choice, which for most germans seems to be Steam but you just cannot buy it in germany on Steam.

This. Its kind of a bummer that we have to wait compared to steam. I can't buy the game on steam since I'm located in germany :(
